Bromsgrove 5k & 10k Runs 2027
About This Event
Running through scenic Worcestershire to beat blood cancer
Our Bromsgrove Run has been a cherished community tradition for decades. Each May, hundreds of local runners, walkers, and families gather to raise vital funds for blood cancer research — winding through picturesque Worcestershire lanes and finishing with a prize-giving at the Rugby Club.
Bibs and numbers are available for collection from the Registration Gazebo from 9.30 onwards and it is also possible to register on the day here at a cost of £35 for either event. Running T-shirts are also available for collection or purchase here. Entries on the day will close at 10.30 and 10k runners will be called together to be accompanied to the start at Walnut Lane at 10.45 ready for an 11 am start. The 5k will start at 11.10 and runners will be taken to the start at 10.55.
All finishers receive a medal, and prize categories are 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female in each event plus 1st Male and Female Senior, Vet over 35, and Vet over 50 in each event, and 1st under 16 Male and Female in the 5k.
Both events are chip-timed, and the results will be available on www.tempoevents.co.uk within a short time of the finish.
There are plenty of marshals along the two routes to help the smooth running of the event.
The prize-giving will take place at 12.30
Drinks and coffee may be available at the Rugby Club bar and a refreshment van may be available but this is not certain as it hasn’t proved profitable to the providers over the last few years.
There will be a tombola stall at the Rugby Club and a raffle

Our events rely on a dedicated team of local volunteers. Whether you can spare an hour or the whole day, marshalling is a rewarding way to support the cause without lacing up your trainers.
